The Proposition

When everything was prepared, Ydjuran woke Robert from his slumber. Robert, afraid of the god’s wrath, recoiled with fear, but the god soothed the man’s soul with beautiful visions of what could be if only Robert were strong enough. Ydjuran outlined three simple tasks. Robert agreed to the god’s terms, entranced by what his life might be. A spark lit within the man where none had been.
